The faculty of Nursing Sciences is established in November2016 by profeser Um gumaa Mohammed Abdel Regal Hamid and she is appointedthe first dean . The first batch included 107 Students and most of them are females
  • Higher education requirements secondary school certificate (biology).
  • Conform to the standards medical fitness set by the program authority.
  • Pass the personal interview.
  • Commit to the rules and regulations of the program.

Evaluation system:

 

Student’s evaluation:

  1. Formative evaluation:

It is a continuous evaluation which conducted by the supervisor through – out each course to assess what each student achieved according to the educational objectives and what he still needs to achieve.

  1. Continuous evaluation:

It is the evaluation of the assignments given to the students during each course and they are given grades.

  1. Final evaluation (summative evaluation)

The evaluation is carried out at the end of each semester to assess the achievement of each student and they are given grades according to that.

 

Curriculum evaluation:

 

The curriculum evaluated will by every 4 years

 

Is 15000 Sudanese pound (for the year 2017-2018)

The program for BSc degree is 4 levels (8 semesters).

Each level includes 2 semesters and the duration of the semester is 15 weeks.

The outcomes of the program are qualified nurses capable of:

  1. Applying nursing ethics in nursing care.
  2. Giving health education for individuals, families and community at large.
  3. Giving comprehensive and integrated preventive and curative nursing care.
  4. Giving nursing care for the special health groups (handicapped and geriatrics cases ect).
  5. Nursing management at the different health settings.
  6. Conducting scientific researches in nursing and participating in other health researches.
  • Contributing in providing competent nurses to cover the shortage in nurses.
  • Meeting the increasing community needs for receiving competent nursing services.
  • Providing competent nurses who give comprehensive nursing care at the three facility levels (the primary, secondary and tertiary)
  • Preparing and graduating competent nurses who are able to give comprehensive nursing care.
  • Preparing nurses who are committed to apply the nursing ethics in giving nursing services.
  • Preparing cooperative nurses with the other health categories in giving preventive and curative management.
  • Educating and encouraging scientific research conduction in nursing and participating in other health researches.
  • Educating the nursing management that makes the graduates able to manage the different health settings.
  • Preparing the students for long – life learning so that to be up – to – date with the new trends in nursing.
  • Graduating nurses who are able to contribute in solving nursing problems.
  • Preparing nurses who are able to give nursing services at community settings and contributing in solving the community health problems.

Our Mission

The mission of this program is dedication to community development through provision of high quality education that results in graduation of competent nurses who give holistic care at all levels of health facility based on evidence, able to conduct nursing research and participating in other health researches, able for life long learning and capable of giving nursing services at community settings.
